The heat was so intense !! I noticed something odd a few feet into the crater.
I reached into the blast furnace and just managed to break it loose before I became a baked ham.
It took hours to cool before we could break off the crust to see this beautiful G&L unearthed.
By then we were back at the hotel.
Ya gotta wonder if there's more.

JK...It was a well fought out auction with lots of bidders...maybe 7-8 years back.

Yes Elwood, there are still more down there. I was there a few years ago and fished this one out of the crater. It took 2 days to cool.
