I have always admired G&L guitars, they were the literal extension from all of the other raw strat and tele ideas, could never afford one. Over a year ago, I came across a hybrid guitar, Schecter E/a c-1 in beautiful shape, for 300, and so i drove three hours to get it, brought it home to enjoy, and a few weeks later, found it was worth 800 - well, having several other guitars, I decided to use that one to get one more guitar, and an amp, in a sweet trade for a ampeg reverberocket 212r 50 watt combo with maybe two hours of play time on it and a japanese fender 51, which I do still enjoy. 1 am yesterday morning, I decided I do not need an amp, its really too loud for my band etc, and i use line direct pod hd 500 so i dont truly need it, its collected dust for just over a year now. I list said amp on craigslist, for 750.00 or trade for various setups, this guitar, that amp, etc., and 6 hours later i get a message, "I have a G&L ASAT Special" on facebook, and I immediately responded with questions for info, more pics etc. he brings the amp by 3 pm, we toy around with each others toys, and decide we do want to make the trade, i have been playing it all day long, and I am so stoked to have it. Both items were made in the usa, and were what each of us needed or wanted more than what we had, so it was a pretty fair trade, and he has expressed the same.
The condition, aside from a ding or two, is really very good, but the bridge saddle adjuster screws, are ruined, so i need saddles, with new screws so that i can finish the set up on it as i like my strings closer, but not buzzing. The website, seems to be out of saddles, on backorder etc. anyone know where I can just buy those? instead of the 90 bucks on a bridge complete?

Glad to be here, and I look forward to getting more of the usa G&L guitars, perhaps a Comanche next
