My new used Legacy

The last Legacy I had owned was a 2001 and sold or traded it in 02. I now own a 2014. I sat down and compared the tones with my sons new 2014 sandblasted strat. My Legacy won out easily, keep in mind I own Fenders as well. Great guitar.

Congrats on the Legacy. I owned one from the mid 1990s briefly about four years ago, but it went back to the seller due to an undisclosed truss rod problem. I remember it sounding very sweet. That was before my first Leo-era guitar, and I haven't put any serious time on a Legacy since then. I think I will need to circle back around to one someday soon.

Beautiful legacy. G&l really makes a nice guitar. I would like to hear how you compare it to your other Fenders.

I am going to compare my other fenders with this Legacy. I have a 03 fender CS 60 T.M, and 96 JV strat, a 2012 Fender American special w/ash body and Texas specials. I'm going to compare them a bit later today and I will report what I think.

I also compared 'tone' to my 2012 Fender special w/ ash body and TS pickups and the legacy won. I compared 06 MIM strat and the Legacy won. I compared my fender cs 60 tm and in this case the legacy punched it out in output but tone wise it would be what kind of tone your looking for. The 60 didn't have as much output but a great voice in a different way. I also compared my mustang and actually it was about equal in output. The pickups in the Legacy seem to be much more ballsy than the early legacy I have owned. This legacy has a lot of output , snap and tone.
