No, Galaxy Black has not been added to the available finishes list.Chuckboots wrote:Is this colour available on a Bluesboy? and can you order a Bluesboy without a scratchplate?
You can order USA ASAT Classic models without the pickguard, see: Are there any "off menu" G&L options?.

Re: Galaxy Black
thanks for reply Craig. I saw a "naked" Bluesboy in this colour with the neck in same colour....very striking...I do wish there were not so many options...keeps confusing me
Will there ever be Red Swirl again?

ASAT Classic Bluesboy 90
The last I heard about the about the Swirl finishes was that they had put it on the shelf after several attempts to get it stable.Serial Number: CLF071756
Date Completed: October 6, 2014
Description: Galaxy Black, pickguard deleted, model logo deleted, silver border G&L logo, full matching painted neck, rosewood fingerboard.
Purpose: Dave McLaren recalls, "In the mid-to-late '80s, G&L made many instruments with full matching necks. Some of us here, especially me, have had a thing for this look so we decided to build a few instruments and let the idea sink in. At the time this is written, February 2015, we've not decided whether to, or how exactly to offer this option. However, we've had our fun and the point has been made. The full matching neck may someday become an option, but there will be quite a bit of sussing out to do before we get there. This guitar has another twist, as it's painted in Galaxy Black, a color we were developing two years before (see prototype CLF066126 of November 16, 2012). At the time this is written, Galaxy Black has not been introduced. "

Re: Galaxy Black
thats the one...
Its a great colour, pity its not available, likewise the swirl. Mind you I've got too much trouble finalising pickguard colour let alone body colour.
