Re: Hello
Well it came! I am very happy with it. I didn't get a chance to play it for a long time yet, just an hour or so last night. I don't have a photo up-load page any place so I need to set up photo bucket and do the link thing. But others have posted pictures of this model. It is the Clear Oranage "Swamp" Ash limited edition from Full Compass.
Here are my initional thoughts/impression:
1) Very ergonomic, Well balanced and comfortable to play sitting down. (I am 6 foot tall and fat about 260 lbs). The neck and frets are great! Wow
2) Sounds: Great! Still exploring it.
3) Build Quality: I say the overall quality is high with the 3 caveats. 1) 3 way switch, 2) volume nob and 3)tone nobs. They feel "cheep." I am not saying they are, they just have that chintsy feel. But they work well with no noise.
My points of comparison are my two other guitars and those that I have triend in the store resently. Compared to my 1999 MIM Tele- its on par but New so its better. Compared to new Fenders MIM I have recently tried the G&L is way better. Hands down better. In fact I can't believe just how poor the Fenders are in comparison. My other guitar is a 1982 Ibanez MC 150. This not a comparable guitar as it is an antique and on another level IMHO.
I have been "shopping" for a long time. I do go to stores for "playing other peoples guitars therapy" once or twice a month for about a year. At this price point I have found nothing new that compares. In conclusion the G & L Fallout is an outstanding value. I would recomend this guitar to others.
Thanks for the greetings and I look forward to reading post and learning.
Peace.

Re: Hello
Congrats , those clear orange Fallouts are beautiful !! .... I'm a Fallout man too ...... mines a Muscle car series Hugger Orange ...... it's my favorite G&L and will probably be my first duplicate guitar from G&L ..... been thinking about getting another Fallout for a back up when gigging and maybe order the wide C or number 4 neck this time , my Rampage has me digging the wider necks here lately

Re: Hello
Oh man the oranges in both the RT & SS series are really sweet. I am a novice and can't justify spending that much on a guitar... Love th video that justNickmusic posted. Really sweet cars & guitars.
I am really happy I got the fallout. It was a leap of faith for me. I had been thinking about G&L for a while. Was most likely going to get an ASAT, but saw the price on this particular Fallout and rolled the dice. So I'll give it a good test, but all signs point to its a winner for me.
I like the neck. What does it compare to on the USA? I think I read it's equivalent to the #1.
I have purchased 2 guitars in the past year so no more for a while.
Peace.
