got the LE 2 out of the closet and gave it a good set up ...... I probably only have a couple hours of playing time on it since new so it was time to get it out ....
anyway I drop the tune down a 1/2 step , adjusted the DF back to level , I adjusted the relief in the neck and plugged it in .... just then I remember not being crazy about the sound , the Humbucker just over powers every other position on the switch , the single coil/tap mode was the weakest sound and the big MFD caught in the middle .....
So I raised the bridge MFD as high as I could get it (was not much before I ran out of adjustment ) then lowered the bridge Humbucker down to balance with the big MFD's neck some what close ...... on the Humbucker I adjusted the angle to move the coil/split side of the Humbucker close to the strings while keeping the humbucker side as far as I could away from the strings ......
after that I further balanced the strings by raising the neck MFD pole pieces a couple turns closer to the strings first and then adjusted them to balance within each other ...... on the Bridge humbucker pup I raised the pole pieces several turns on the single coil side then balanced them between themselves ...... on the Humbucker side of the Bridge I just adjusted the pole pieces to balance between the strings while not trying to raise the pole pieces anymore than I had too
the result is all the switch modes are now volume balanced very well with each other and I have all positions and combos of the pick ups are now useable ...... I'm really digging this guitar now !!
finally got the LE 2 out of the closet

Great job Eric! I had to do quite a bit of adjusting with my F-100 when I got it home. Those MFD humbuckers really are quite powerful. It's nice when you get a guitar set up the way you like it.
