ASAT Classic S question.
I am pretty sold on G&L's after having my Tribute Legacy to play around with for the past few weeks. My questions is this. I had played an S-500 (Tribute) and really liked that, does the Classic S use the same pick ups or are they wound differently for the ASAT? I would love to hear a clip if anyone has one.

Re: ASAT Classic S question.
Hi Gypsy,
The short answer is: Not really.
The long answer is: The neck & bridge pups are the same as what you would find in a normal classic. Then they add in the middle pup from the S-500. The same way that Fender adds a Strat pup to make their Nashville Teles.

Thanks Ed, I appreciate your response. I suspected it would be set up similar to the Nashville. Now I have to hear a clip or play one.

I should really get around to buying some sort of recording device....I wish I could help out!
I love my Classic S. Mines a solid body one from the 2007 run. Awesome guitars and I really like the 12" radius fretboard on them.
