Hi everyone. I just picked up my first G&L guitar, a Tribute Superhawk.
I'm a very much inexperienced novice player, only been at this for about a year now but I was drawn to the Superhawk because of the specs. I'll make another thread about that in a different section.
Looks like a good community here!

Just Picked Up My First G&L
Any guitar I own is better at being a guitar than I am at playing them!

Steve,
Welcome, and congrats on your G&L! I'm a new player myself, been at it about as long as you have. You're right - it's a really nice group of guys over here.
What did you play before you picked up your Superhawk?

Re: Just Picked Up My First G&L
Thanks for the welcome!
I have a few Sterling By Music Man guitars. A Silo 30D (with pickguards in HSS and SSS), AX 30D and AX3. I really like the AX 30D the most so far, it sounds and feels pretty good but being new at this I figured getting my hands on other types of guitars would be beneficial. That's what drew me to G&L.
Nothing wrong with the SBMM's except the necks feel maybe a little too narrow. (Being so new at this I'm not quite sure I know what I like yet!)
I see you have a bass as your avatar, do play guitar too?

Nope - just bass for now. Plenty of good people and good G&L info over here to make it worth the look, though.
