Signature decals that G&L agreed to stop using by '92, with a post-'97 four-bolt plate, non-standard body and neck woods and no serial number. On the other hand, the neck has a birthmark.
What do you think: counterfeit, employee guitar or homebrew with G&L garage sale neck?

I go for employee guitar. Must also say it reminds me of that guitar showing up on this forum once in a while (is it an Interceptor? Invadr?) with these special necks that can be swapped out.

I'm with Jos on this one, and I recall seeing the body on the GLDP before. You can get signature stickers on eBay and parts one together but with the four bolt neck and all parts included it could have been someone's project. Cool guitar but I would not pay that much. Just my .02

If I'm not mistaken, the signature decals are both in the wrong places. The craftsmanship made me think employee guitar at first, but it doesn't seem right that G&L would let signature decals and a G&L logo leave the factory on the same instrument post-1992.

You would think so, wouldn't you? But you may very well be very, very wrong in that very assertion …KenC wrote:If I'm not mistaken, the signature decals are both in the wrong places. There are stories out there. Some conjecture, some fact. But it is well established some very interesting stuff left the factory that never showed up in any sales log or other documents. And lets leave it at a that ...
