The overdrive parts sound like Humbuckers………. Is it just me?
I wonder if they are stock pups….?
Usually they have more bite to them….

Don is a member here, so perhaps he will chime in to discuss this.ecwoff wrote: The overdrive parts sound like Humbuckers………. Is it just me?

I'm pretty certain that those are the stock pickups in his ASAT Special Deluxe.
I always enjoy Don's YouTube videos.
Thanks for post this one.

Hi EW,
Thanks for posting this; a friend of mine gave me heads up that someone had posted this. Although, my playing is a bit stiff and rough on this tune, I should have done a couple more takes. It would have come out much better.
That being said, the pups are stock. I tend to go over the top, and completely chime off on the highs EQ wise when using overdrives. My lousy camcorder mic doesn’t help the sound either. Trust me my friend, this beast of a guitar has bite that is off the charts amazing, on this tune, I just didn’t represent that potential at all.
Below is a little better post as far as bite. The second part has a tiny bit more attitude; still, I tend to chime out the highs though. Also, I have a YouTube site if you ever want to talk gear, and have more G&L vids if interested. Thanks again for posting, Peace, Don~
