Custom Made Bluesboy vs. ASAT Tribute

Ok so it's no surprise that I'm seriously considering getting a Bluesboy custom made. But I have some concerns regarding the differences between it and my ASAT Tribute.

Besides the obvious pickup differences, what else varies? My primary concern is the neck. I love the way the ASAT Tribute neck feels and don't want to deviate from it much at all. I once had a chance to try out a Bluesboy and the neck felt significantly chunkier/different shape almost. I'm no expert by any means, but it felt more like a "D" shape rather than a classic "C" which I believe my ASAT Tribute has.

So if I go for the Bluesboy, would I feel a big difference in the neck?

PS: G&L should really make more lefty Tribute models. Besides the ASAT Classic & Legacy, they should make a Bluesboy as well. Just sayin'

do you know what neck was on the USA Bluesboy you tried ??...... to me a #1 is close to a tribute neck , just slightly thicker but close .... the USA have more attention to detail .... the neck pocket is beautiful and tight on the USA's and hit and miss on the Tributes from what I've seen lately

How about taking some measurements of the Tribute neck which you like? Then match against the current US neck options to find the closest match.
You might also discuss your neck concerns with your dealer and ask if the factory can shape the closest US neck size to match your Tribute neck. It does not hurt to ask.
And, ask the dealer if you can try the various US neck options that are currently available. You might find one the really fits for you. If that dealer does not have any variety
of necks to try, then call other dealers in your area and ask them if they have them. Also, voice your option about additional Lefty Tribute models with the dealer.
Dealers do have some influence as to what the factory should be building if the dealers can make a case for sales of them.

Doesn't G&L have the specs on the ASAT Tribute neck? I've never measured a neck before, so I don't know what 1st & 12th fret depth is. Nor can I measure radius. All I can do is go by the specs on G&L's website about it:

NECK WIDTH AT NUT: 1 5/8"
NECK RADIUS: 9"
NECK PROFILE: medium C

Obviously I can't get the same radius, but at least I would like the same shape which is I suppose the "medium C". Not sure what that would translate into using G&L's neck specs. Anyone have any other thoughts?

Here's the response from the shop I'm working with on this:

As far as I know the USA #1 classic C neck profile will have a tolerance of + or – .015 since they are all done by hand. Also they will have a much flatter 12” radius on the fretboard for better playability up the neck...more sustain on note bending and vibrato since it will have more fret clearance. As far as the major difference between a USA and Tribute models...the #1 profile will be very similar in their depth especially just off the nut but changes as you go into the higher registration. The USA classic C profile is deeper and more rounded...so in my opinion I believe that a USA slim C would be closer to a tribute medium C.

So it looks like the slim C would be the closest thing to the tribute neck. And I learned a thing about how neck profiles are measured

I'd get some other opinions on the slim neck idea.

I played an ASAT tribrute for a bit and never thought the neck was any thinner than the USA ASATs I have. The Tribute has thinner nut compared to my guitars (Tribute = 1 5/8") but the profile, neck thickness, seemed the same to me.
