Intro-anticipating first G&L

Post by Jared »

Just an intro and a hello. This website looks great. I have played guitar for many years and I also build/rebuild electric guitars.
I own several guitars and just purchased my first G&L to add to the stable, a tribute semi-hollow ASAT Bluesboy. I may drop a Seth Lover in the neck like the USA made model, but want to play with the guitar for a while first. I am wondering if I will need to reverse polarity on one of the pups to add the Duncan, but I will look at the boards for this info first before posting the question in the proper forum.

Looking forward to being a G&L owner and G&L community member.

Happy New year all.

AND OF COURSE THE NEW G&L TRIBUTE BLUESBOY-Tans-orange finish, maple neck. Looking forward to joining the family. This is my only current true import (except the reso-not sure about that one)but heard good things, taking a leap of faith. The guitar is on the way, so once it arrives I will try and post a picture of the guitar wall with the new addition on the appropriate board.

Happy New year all. Be safe and play loud.

Hard to pick a fav. Different day, different guitar, as you say. The PRS is the newest addition and I have never owned a guitar with such varied tones depending on tone and volume knob settings. So I am still learning what it does and where the sweet spots are. I just finished the koa tele a few months ago and it is a tone beast. I am finding I use it in place of my Strat and love playing SRV stuff on it. That got my thinking about the semi-hollow tele style and thus to the bluesboy. I had completely rebuilt a semi-hollow 335 type guitar and loved the tone but the body style was just too big for my tastes, so I sold it. I think the Bluesboy will fit a nice niche I have been gassing for. Of course now it just might get me jonesing for more G&L's. My wife will be so pleased.
