new guy

Post by rickman30 »

Ok, Hello all. Got my first G&L, a bluesboy tribute, not too bad, not as refined as the MIM Fender but. Sound is great, am use to early 90’s PRS guitars, so…I like this better than the MIM fender. Pickups, bridge, tuning machines, better, setup ok. After fret level, crown and polish, set up to G&L recommend specs (ok I tweaked a little bit) now plays as good as my USA guitars, didn’t have a nut blank thick enough and found the fender nuts too thin, so thats later. am going to upgrade switch and pots but I think i’m going to leave PU’s especially bridge, ordered a no load tone to see if can brighten neck hum, don’t want to do a 500k cause bridge is perfect and don’t wanna mess that up! Anyway, :greet:
