G&L S500 Deluxe in honey Serial number

Post by laurie »

Hi Guys, Just purchased a G&L S-500 Deluxe in Honey the serial number is CLF29539, got no idea how this number works, Strats are easy to work out but this isn't, anyone know how to break these numbers down, would like to know what year it was built, I think its a 1997-8 Year.

regards Laurie ( Australia)

See this post in the General G&L Questions sub-forum of the Knowledgebase: Serial number significance..
Note that the S-500 Deluxe first production year was 2001. See: Production List of G&L Instruments (USA).
A quick search on our G&L Registry indicates that it was likely built in 2003 (using serial number range search).

This post may be of some help: What different body woods has the S-500 Deluxe model had?

Hope this helps.
