S-500 improvized test

Post by vicus »

Well, it's not Alnico, but you can always cut the bass a little. And it does more than the standard Alnico. Sorry for the occasional clipping.
Positions 2 and 4
Updated, no clipping this time

I have a signature s-500 from the early nineties. In my eyes they beat every strat type guitar that came from Fender by miles soundwise

Hi Vicus
I like the odd measure of the main riff, is it in 7/4 or 13/8 ? Something like that ?

Anyway, nice sound

Good question. I just bought the guitar, plug in and record some doodle :) Now I have to think about the measure. Which is quite mandatory if I am gonna turn it into a song :)

Thanks for posting this. It gives a clear picture of the 2 and 4 positions. A different kind of quack that's nice!

Nice clip and may I commend you on a fine guitar choice. S-500's are such no brainers when it comes to a Strat style guitar. Mfd's baby !
