Well, it's not Alnico, but you can always cut the bass a little. And it does more than the standard Alnico. Sorry for the occasional clipping.

I have a signature s-500 from the early nineties. In my eyes they beat every strat type guitar that came from Fender by miles soundwise

Good question. I just bought the guitar, plug in and record some doodle

Nice clip and may I commend you on a fine guitar choice. S-500's are such no brainers when it comes to a Strat style guitar. Mfd's baby !
