Comanche Schematic

Hi I found Comanche schematic and wiring photo on guitars by Leo. My question is about the placement of caps. In the schematic it looks like two caps are to be placed on the treble pot and one on bass pot. However in the photo two caps are placed on the bass pot and one on the treble pot. Why is this?

Just guessing, stock of the correct value cap was temparily dry so G&L decided to parallel two smaller valued ones to get what's needed. That would be quite a reasonable thing to do.

I doubt whether it's just a substitution.
The .001 cap is to tune the resonant frequency of the pups, and basically goes from the output of the 5-way, to ground.
This could be connected between the "10" track end of either the treble or bass pots, and their casing (ground) equally well, since their "10" ends are connected together. Would have been down to how the builder thought best, and would electrically be exactly the same.
The .022 would always be at the treble pot, and the .0022 across the bass.

Thanks for your reply. What is the "10" end. I am having trouble reading the schematic. Can you explain or draw a picture of where the caps are to be placed. Cheers

Looks like the actual wiring should exactly follow this schematic, in visual appearance.
The dot on the pots in the schematic denotes the "10" end, this is the position of the wiper when the pot is turned fully up. Rotate the pot while looking at the back of it and you should be able to imagine the wiper movement and the end positions plus corresponding solder lugs.
With this info I hope Nick's comments should be more clear.
