Changing tuning machines

Post by guitar_ed »

Hi All,

I have wanted to change the locking tuners on my ASAT ResoSpecial for some time, as they are locking tuners, and I wanted to put 13-56s on this guitar. But I could not get the 56 thru the post hole. So.... I pulled off the tuners, and I discovered that my head stock has been drilled for both single & double fang tuners.

I ended up with some double fang ping tuners, because I did not want to spend the extra $30+ for the Schallers for this guitar.

Saved you some work Ed, Ping is what Fender has been using for their locking tuners (F Logo) for some time. -- Darwin
