S-500 wiring harness?

Post by scelerat »

Does anyone make a wiring harness or fully wired pickguard for the S-500? I have a Legacy, and I'd like to try it as a s-500 (I'm going for the MFDs) , but i'd also like the flexibility of being able to change it back relatively easily.

I could do it myself, but I've never wired up the G&L style tone controls and I'm trying to save some time.

If you are looking to purchase this, please post a Want Ad in the GbL Marketplace, as we don't allow Want Ad/For Sale posts on the G&LDP.
See Welcome! Read This First. G&L does not offer them, but you can get
many of the parts from their On-Line Store.

Have you checked to Gallery in the Album: Instrument Manuals and Wiring Schematics?
We have wiring diagrams and schematics of many G&L instruments, including the S-500.

Hope this helps.

For the price of a set of S-500 pickups you might buy a (used) S-500 Tribute and get a free guitar on top ;-)

Good tip. Are the MFDs in the Tributes identical to those in the USA-made G&Ls?

Yes, they are the same Fullerton factory made pickups used in the USA S-500 models.
