Looking for qualitative comparison between #1 and #1a neck

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Looking for qualitative comparison between #1 and #1a neck

Post by JagInTheBag »

...feel. I have a number of #1 necked G&L's and they seem okay. Sometimes my wrist gets fatigued reaching around to grab chords and scales on the lower frets (especially learning new songs). I also spend most of my time between frets 7 and 12. Anyone have experience playing both #1 and #1a necks?

Thanks!

Don't worry about the guitar neck. Get yourself a hand exerciser--one of those squeezable, A-frame looking thingies. Start with 25 - 30 reps in each hand and build up to 100 reps a day. Simple. Works like a charm.

That is good advise. I personally did not find those things helpful. Instead, these things worked like a charm.
