New G&L owner

Post by Mikealpine »

Hi all,

I'm a new G&L owner, and happy to be newly registered here. I'm active on a couple of other forums and looking forward to learning a lot here. I don't have pictures because I just bought it, and it'll be at least 5 days for delivery. I will post them when the guitar arrives. It is a 1999 S-500. I was torn between that model and a Special, but this was too pretty to pass up. It is an Ash in trans blonde with a white pearl pick guard and a maple neck. If I decide I want a Special, I'll get dual rail pickups to put in. Of course I'll get recommendations here!

Hope you all had a great weekend,
Mike

Thanks all. Bought without playing (eBay), so I certainly hope I like the sound! Based on clips, it seems like a Strat, but with more "oomph". I played a Legacy and it felt comfortable and wanted the expander toggle. Really liked the color, and it was a '99 that, according to the description, was more like a NOS than used. Seller had great feedback, so we'll see!!

I appreciate the warm welcome!
