Ever since I got my ASAT Classic, I've noticed the plug jack is loose. I constantly have to tighten the thin bolt on the outside only to have it come loose again whenever I remove or plug in the cable.
Is this a common problem with the ASATs? Is there something I can do to correct it permanently?
Thanks!

Nubs,
Do you have a football plate jack on your ASAT? It does sound like it. Check whether there is a locking washer under the jack nut and get one if not. You should be able to loosen the 2 screws to take the plate of and with the proper tools, hold the jack in place while tightening the bolt on the outside.

Since it's a Tribute ASAT Classic, it should have the football plalte mounted output jack, but then again it may have been modded by a previous owner.yowhatsshakin wrote:Nubs,

It was not clear whether Nubs got this new or used. Nubs, can you post a photo showing the output jack?

Re: Jack Hole is loose
Here's what it looks like:
The bolt right in the middle where the plug goes keeps getting loose. As mentioned, I tried using a wrench to tighten it, but it doesn't really tighten...it just gets a bit snug & then loosens. The good news is that it doesn't affect the sound at all.
Thanks guys!

Nubs,
Beyond using a properly sized locking washer as I advised in my previous post, take off the nut entirely and check whether the thread had not been ruined on either nut and/or jack. If you say you used a wrench to tighten it, it all should stay tight. But if the the thread is worn, something like what you'd ecsribe could happen.
