The following piece, Round and Round uses a Legacy Tribute for all of the the rhythm parts and lead tracks. Overall I like the way the Legacy sits in the mix.
Middle coil was used on rhythm tracks. Neck coil was used on lead tracks. One solo is a nylon string guitar, not the Legacy!
Absolutely terrific sounding pickups showing dc ohm readings of 6.1k (neck), 6.6k (middle) and 6.6k (bridge). Fralin's Vintage hots and Fender FAT 50s have similar outputs, but the Legacy has more dimension and sparkle.

I agree, CSV, the tone of the legacy's pickups is notable for it's chime, color and bell-like clarity.
I like plugging mine into a little Fender mustang prax amp and fingerpicking. Great strat tones across the spectrum.
Nice tunage, reminds me of some acoustic alchemy tunes i like. Thanks for sharing your music.

Thanks for the thumbs up, John. Indeed, these Legacy's are incredible guitars, the pickups alone are worth the price of admission. The neck profiles are also phenomenal.

I don't own a Legacy but you tempt me. Although I'm still not sure if I'd head toward the Legacy or S-500.
Agreed on the G&L neck profiles. I have #3s and I'm guessing yours is a #1. I own a few non-G&L guitars but hardly play them because I have so bonded with my G&L necks. They fit my hand so well.

What are the #3 necks like? I think the G&L neck I have may be quarter sawn, because it has lovely streaks running down the side of the neck. Hands down the nicest profile neck I have come across on a factory stock neck. The HWY One strat I just sold felt like a toy alongside the Legacy.

CSVeteran - I think the Legacy Tribute is the standard #1 neck w/ 1 5/8" nut. The number #3 neck is 1 11/16" nut. Both have 12" radius. The nut width is probably the only difference between the two. Nut width aside, the profiles are very similar (I've tried the #1). When you say they're phenomenal, I'm right there with you. I try to like my other guitar necks, but my G&L necks rule. I find them even ergonomically soothing.

Re: G&L Legacy Sample
Lefty Major - interestingly, the factory nut that came with my Tribute was lightly smaller than the actual fretboard slot, which showed 1-11/16ths
(42.8mm). I replaced it with a bone nut using the full 1-11/16ths width.
The closest match I have come across to the G&L Legacy neck is the Robert Cray MIM reissue, which has that great taper and feel, but the fret board is RW and the fretwork was not on par with the Legacy. The first thing I noticed about the Legacy was the silky smooth fretwork and high buffed finish, which you don't see on many poly finished guitars.

Re: G&L Legacy Sample
Thanks oldhatt - both the rhythm and lead guitar were miced using an old Beyer dynamic. The amp is a 15 watt Vox Cambridge with an 8" Celestion.
