Change neck pup in bluesboy to p-90?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

If you check the G&L website (http://www.glguitars.com and look at the specs for the guitar, it's a Paul Gagon designed pup. And if you look in the store, you will see that it is not available for sale.

As for wiring, I don't know.

Careful! I'm not at all sure it will fit in. P-90s are usually wider than a humbucker rout, plus the mounting is very different, and needs to be done with precision.
Rather than rout out the guitar (!@*?!!$) there are of course lots of nice P-90-in humbucker-shape out there, such as Bare Knuckle, Lollar, and also Lindy Fralins Twangmasters, either alnico rod or screw pole.
Always check polarity too, unless the pup will have a separate ground conductor. Reputable makers will advise you.
I do think it would be wise to check dimensions before buying a regular P-90 shape.
