The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
I was experimenting with the current (as of this moment) [ img ] tag problem on the forum and went Googling for a photo example of one of my favorite G&L models.
I found this one with all metal plated in gold including the pickup pole pieces.
EDIT: Composite picture provided for the Whine-Dohs operating system users vulnerable to viruses.
Being of Mac purity and elegance I was unaware of any sinister elements and was only providing a linky to blingy pictures.

Reason:Admin changed the suspected infected link to text, so that no one accidently clicks on it

um thanks Salmon
What are you whining about? Your anti-virus software worked. Oh wait... you must be using Whine-Dohs. I had no trouble whatsoever even going back to create a composite picture to post.

Salmon, because of this incident and your response to it, I am requesting that you use http://www.urlvoid.com/ to check any outside links BEFORE you post them in the future.
This is a free service:
Website Reputation Checker Tool
In a nutshell, URLVoid is a free service that analyzes a website through multiple blacklist engines and online reputation tools to facilitate the detection of fraudulent and malicious websites. This service helps you to identify websites involved in malware incidents, fraudulent activities and phishing websites.
Suggestion to all members: this is a good tool to use to check any links you are not familar with BEFORE clicking on them.
I am running Windows7 Pro and had no such issues with this site. I did a virus and malware scan after reading this and they turned up nothing. To be fair Craig, it is possible the site was hacked after Salmon posted it.

Craig,
My response to this was in jest. You have no sense of humor. After close to 700 posts never having had such a problem with all of the links I have posted on this forum you are way off base. I find your finger waving arrogant as well as ignorant. I'm outta here.

Thank you.
Salmon,
I am responsible for making sure the content of this site is safe and take this responsibility seriously. After suave eddie (BTW, thanks for posting it) posted about the link in your post,
I immediately acted to change this link to text only to insure no one would click on the link to this malware infected site. Your responses to this was very inappropriate; making jokes about
exposing the GbL community to a very nasty malware is not what I would have expected. Obviously, you do not realize the potential harm you caused to both the community
and the integrity of this site. And that is why I requested that you use the tool I posted should you want to post any outside links in the future.
Jag,
it looks like your virus and malware checking software does not have realtime link scanning or it is not configured to do so. Luckily, your PC did not get infected by the malware lurking
on the link of Salmon's post. You might want to use the tool I referenced and you will see that the site hosting that link is unsafe.
