So I have a '92 alder body SB-1 that I absolutely love. I bought it new in.... 1992, or was that 1993? Anyway, I've used it extensively for gigging and recording. So impressed with it that I purchased a fretless SB-2 a year or two later. I've been playing them exclusively ever since.
I've never picked up and fooled around with an LB-100, so keeping that in mind, I always thought of them as G&L's attempt to continue competing with brands like Fender. Just my opinion.
Resale between the two models seems to favor the LB-100 over the SB-1, so I was wondering what the consensus was regarding the two.

Re: SB-1 vs. LB-100
I have an LB-100, never played an SB-1. They're pretty similar really, one has an MFD, the other an alnico pickup. IMO, the LB-100 shape is much easier on the eye and closer to the original Precision shape than the SB-1, which I think could be a significant factor in the better resale value.
