what route is on a new ASAT Special Big MFD ?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

I see it doesn't have a bath tub route .... was curious if you could use a clear pick guard or will there be route showing if you do ??

I think Scott (gitman01), took the pg cover off of his red sparkle one and it didn't have any hidden routes. Yes, use a clear pg.

I replaced the white pickguard on my Special with a clear one. It goes much better with the greenburst finish. The white guard was fugly.

cool ..... I'm thinking of adding two more saddle lock guitars to the fleet and the big MFD's will be one of them , pick guard of a Special would save a couple hundred over a Special Deluxe , but ... the dry climate we have in the winter makes for PG static , my non pick guard G&L's don't seem to be effected by the dry weather static electricity like the PG models , so now it's a matter of paying extra for less static come winter time ..... I have a new ASAT Classic coming that is a candidate for a clear PG :)

are the Pickups the same between Special and Special Deluxe on the newer G&L's ??
