The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Young G&L blues player tracks

Post by Jack Morrow »

A cover of Eric Clapton's version of Robert Johnson's Crossroads Blues. Duncan is 17 and the blues harp player if 16.

Many songs use a G&L ASAT Classic S Alnico Launch Edition and some use a G&L Legacy.

Here's a Jimi Hendrix cover of Voodoo Child. Watermelon Slim handles vocals.

Thanks Patrick. Yes, Duncan is growing and learning. It's fun for me and we're off to Mississippi for two weeks soon. We will make another two week trip later in the summer too. He loves his three G&Ls.

Welcome back! Great to have you here.

Some of us feel badly for the way you left last time. Thanks for trying again!

Here's Duncan playing on the street in front of Deak Harp's Harmonica Shop in Clarksdale, MS. We stay in an apartment above the shop and Walt Busby's studio where we record in is two doors down. My buddy's Art Crivaro's place, Bluesberry Cafe, is a block away and we get all our Stetson hats at Floyd Shankernan's store across from the Bluesberry. The people crossing the street are Carla and Adrian, owners of the Holy Moly. Carlos and Adrian live in Australia part time and in Clarksdale part time. World famous Ground Zero, owned by Morgan Freeman and Bill Luckett, current mayor of Clarksdale, is a block down the street Of course, another block away is Red Paden's famous Reds. I could go on, but you get the idea. The other man on the bench and his wife, the blond haired lady, are from Southern Iowa and he was in Clarksdale because it was on his bucket list. I spoke to the wife and she said, "he'll be back!"

Forgive Deak's video skills. He was playing around having fun. Taken on Monday, March 17, 2014 on 3rd Street at the Corner of Delta Avenue in Clarksdale, MS.
