86/87 Invader
Hi gang! I'm restoring my 1986/87 Invader. It has the designed by Leo Fender tremolo. You can put the whammy bar at the top or bottom depending on whether you are right handed or left handed. My question is....Will any of the newer trem/bridges retro fit in my Invader? I can always re chrome, get new springs, nickel plate etc. But if a new trem/bridge will fit....why not go new? Thx for any input. This guitar has been retired for quite some time but was my main player for over 15 yrs.....I want to bring it back to life. Thx...tallguitar...

Howdy tallguitar,
I'd love to see pics of your invader.
The twin mount tremelo's are somewhat rare...be sure to keep all that labelled and safe for the future.
I bet the new assemblies would work ( but no fine tuner option anymore ).
Changing out just the saddle pieces might be the ticket if it's just about being able to adjust action easily.
Swapping the stock ( and rare ) bridge assembly will no doubt affect it's value for collectors.
