Tossing couple of questions in here:
- I was just watching the Guitar World video review of the Superhawk, and the guy mentioned a push-pull pot for pickup coil tapping. My Superhawk doesn't have that, and the specs on the G&L site don't mention a push-pull pot. Is that something new?
- I get a hum with my Superhawk plugged into my amp that goes away when I touch the guitar cable plug or the pots on the guitar. The hum is still there when the strings are touched which indicates the bridge isn't grounded properly. Does anyone else have this problem, or maybe my guitar wasn't wired up completely (it was a rush job for G&L to deliver it to NAMM).

If you bought it new from a G&L dealer, take it back to them and have them handle those issues under the Warranty.8len8 wrote:Tossing couple of questions in here:

Regarding the coil splitter push/pull, it is mentioned in the Overview section of the Instrument page. I'll make sure that gets fixed on the Specifications page.
We'd love to see a photo or two and don't forget to add it to our G&L Registry.

Re: Cantrell Superhawk Push-Pull Pot and Grounding?
I bought it from an online dealer, so I'm not willing to spend the money to ship it back to them for repair. Guess it's a lesson leaned for me. As far as a the push-pull it looks like my Superhawk wasn't built to spec. Guess that's another reason to not buy on-line...

I would contact the dealer and let them know about these issues and see what they can do to get it resolved without expense to you.8len8 wrote:I bought it from an online dealer, so I'm not willing to spend the money to ship it back to them for repair. If they are not able to do so, then contact Chris Robosan at G&L Customer Service.

Re: Cantrell Superhawk Push-Pull Pot and Grounding?
It's just too bad that you got the prototype that they rushed to produce... if you're decent with soldering you could install the push/pull function yourself and as for the bad grounding, if you can figure out where the problem lies it could be a matter of some basic soldering.
