Hello guys, need help getting some parts!

Post by juanjosebh »

Hey guys, long time lurker, finally got my first G&l.

Its a tribute legacy and she is beautiful! If i can figure out how to get this to work ill post some images.

However theres an issue, its didnt come with the arm and the bridge is missing the little screw to tighten the arm in place and its such an amazing bridge I just cant live without being able to use it.

If anyone has extra parts or can get them new and ship em to me, I would cover all costs (Im in mexico and i haven't been able to locate the parts as the only listed dealer no longer carries em) I would much appreciate it, I know im new here, but I'm well know over there at strat-talk with the same username, i could paypal the money.

Thanks!

Hola Juan,

The G&L Online Store carries what you are looking for. You can use PayPal and they ship internationally.

Here is the little screw that secures the trem arm in the slot. It also comes with the bushing which is the nylon/plastic thingy that wraps around the end of the arm and is tightened by the screw: Tension Screw Set
"Tribute instruments use part # 080215-100 (Metric)"
Here is the arm: Vibrato Arm
"This is the current push-in style vibrato arm to fit US models since the mid 2000s and all Tribute Series models with Dual Fulcrum vibrato."

Hey Salmon. I already contacted them, because the international shipping option isnt appearing, I click buy, sends me to my paypal and never gives me a shipping charge.

If I recall , at the online store you have to somehow specify a certain shipping service ,otherwise it
defaults to shipping charge that is likely what you saw . If it's new you might be able to get G&L to send you the parts .
Moderator Craig can probably help.

...and Welcome to the boards!

I ordered a new trem arm and set screw a while ago and the shipping was going to be very high, in the USA. I spoke to someone there and they were able to ship it much cheaper using a different method. Might be worth calling them before ordering.

I opted for buying a G&L USA tremolo on eBay.. worked out better in the long run for me, but I happened to get lucky and someone was selling one...

I think the G&L is by far my favorite non-locking bridge so far..
