Possible to swap bodies with G&L?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Possible to swap bodies with G&L?

Post by fenderfan »

I have one of the Mary Kaye blonde, tinted gun oil neck Legacys, and it's a great guitar, but too heavy. Is there any way to swap bodies with the G&L company, for a lighter version of the same one?

G&L doesn't offer bodies like that.

You would have to go at this taking a different approach. A few ideas: 1. Find a parted out guitar on ebay hoping it is lighter. 2. Find a whole guitar that is lighter and swap parts. 3. There is at least one independent parts source claiming G&L compatible neck replacements. Someone might offer bodies.

or maybe put a add for a swap for lighter guitar in the Market Place , it's long shot but it's least worth a try
