Just wondered from those who have recently ordered a new guitar, how long did it actually take to receive?

the last two I got took about 6 months ...

As a side question...does G&L do all painting in house? Even the USA sparkles?

The only finishes they do not do in house are the Nitrocellulose Lacquer finishes used on the Rustic models and Special Builds for some dealers.

The last one I ordered - an LB100 with a satin frost finish - was done in no time. The build date on the certificate is about 4 weeks after placing the order. That was in July/August last year. Longest I've waited was about 12 weeks, including the shipping time.

I got mine in less than three weeks on February 17th. This was way earlier than I had expected. Fingers crossed, I hope others are getting them just as fast!

Aside from general circumstances that effect production I think turnaround time depends upon what is part of the order.

The dealer had mine within a month.

This one is all pretty much standard stuff, no strange requests and a standard color

The factory could be involved in large or small projects that we don't know of whenever an order is placed. I would expect the longer side of average time. Then if it comes earlier it's all the better.

Jeff,

Have you checked with your local dealer? They should be able to get ETA from the factory based upon what you would be considering to order.

Just a thought.
