Can I install a dual fulcrum into my squier affinity strat?

I don't mind drilling holes, and I don't mind buying a new pickguard

Any mod should be possible with the right tools and enough patience, but would the juice be worth the squeeze in this case? You'd probably be looking at some routing, along with plugging and re-drilling holes, and then have finish damage to contend with. The price difference between a new DFV and pickguard and a used Tribute Legacy would be around $150, assuming that you already have all the tools and won't need to sink any money into repairing the finish around the mods. If you're looking for a long project, that might be a fun one.
