Things that go FUZZ

Well I finally got a BBE Free Fuzz and after a few run throughs I like it. This is a basic fuzz that certainly does the job with no frills.

I also have a Way Huge Swollen Pickle that is a great Fuzz pedal that can do a lot of things, but I always dial in less fuzz and turn up the scoop for the Swollen Pickle and get a cross between a fuzz and distortion pedal.

For a straight silicone transister fuzz the Free Fuzz may be my choice.

What is your experiece with the Free Fuzz?

I've got a BBE Windowpane I picked up a couple weeks ago. So far I'm really, really liking it. It's basically a Free Fuzz, just repackaged. It doesn't get splatty and muddy where my Fuzz God II would.

Never tried a Free Fuzz, but I've had a few Fuzz-Face type pedals in the past. The first fuzz pedal I ever got, Mojo Hand Huckleberry, is the one I use the most often. It can do splatty vintage sounds very nicely, and for me that is what fuzz is all about. I've also got a Black Arts Pharaoh in case I ever join a metal band.

Hartman Tommy Bolin Fuzz....crisp and clear
