NGD Finally got this one!!!

Post by sam »

The brown truck arrived at 9:30 this morning and look what arrived! Christmas present from the greatest wife ever. :alright:

For the guy that lost out on a Commemorative years ago this is just as sweet for me since I like the look of binding on a rosewood neck. Thanks to Jos I have the history of this guitar as well.

She sounds great, light weight and just a lot of fun to play and this is just with a few hours today. More pictures to come. YeeHa!

I think he just means the history of the guitar is available at that website.

Salmon you are correct. According to Jos' research these triple bound ASAT signatures were pre commemorative prototypes, and this one has pretty much satisfied my search for the triple bound ASAT Commemorative based on history, and it is just a cool looking and sounding guitar. I need a better picture to show her off.

Great score Sam! Would be great to see the date stamps on heel and in pocket. And give us a tone report if you have spent some more time with her.

P.S. Elwood, no I didn't let one go. I apparently 'missed' one available on the market. But alas! At least it ended up at a good home ;)

Nice score, Sam!

BTW, I see that when you registered this guitar, you list the body color as "Cherryburst". However, the guitar in your photo looks to have 3-tone Sunburst finish.
Can you post a larger photo? Also, you don't need to use the url BBCode, just the img BBCode, when posting your photos. Like this:

Have had my eye on that guitar for a long time wondering when someone would snag it. That is a nice guitar!

Looking at this guitar set off against the black background of its case's interior, I've really got to say the notion that ASAT headstocks are ugly couldn't be more misguided.
