Brand new BluesBoy semi-hollow! I have discovered that taking photos of guitars is like taking photos of mountains - no matter how good the photo, it can't compare to seeing them in person. The woodgrain on this is beautiful and I am very glad that I decided to go with a clear finish to let it show through. I just can't seem to get the color right in the photos with the indoor lighting or flash. It really is a gorgeous deep orange but shows up much lighter in the photos (the orange is closer in my avatar but the cream pickguard is off). Oh, well... you get the picture!
I love it, but have had very little time to play so far. I can tell that the pickups will require that I get to know my amp all over again - or start searching for a new one to go with the new guitar (down, GAS, Down GAS).
Is it ash? really great looking guitar. Im in the process of getting quotes to order a blues boy. I was thinking 3 color sunburst, but i might have to look into some other options! haha
Thanks, all!! I got to play a bit more this morning and really love the playability and sound as much as looks. This guitar seems so much more responsive and has much more character than the Squier CV Tele that I have been playing for the last year. I can see a use for both as they definitely have different voices.

Must be - I saw yours when you posted it which just made it harder to wait. I really like the blue burst on yours and it had me second guessing my color choice until I saw it in person!

Here is a photos of the back. Again, the color does not photo well under the incandescent lights... I don't know much about wood, but I do love the grain on this. There are numerous "worm holes" ?? throughout the grain in the top of the photo and a few thinner marks on the bottom right - not sure what trauma could have caused this but it is definitely in the wood and does add some character!

Sorry, missed your question originally. Yes - it is ash, semi-hollow (no f-hole) with the Clear Orange finish. As I have stated, the photos don't do it justice as the color is much deeper, richer in person - less orange and more red, although it does change depending on the amount/quality of light reflecting off of it, if that makes sense. It really is a nice color and lets plenty of the natural grain show through.
Thanks, all. I like it more and more as I spend more time with it. It just oozes good sound (despite my lack of skill) and is such a dream to play.
I have been playing a Squier CV Tele and really like it - but had not appreciated just how much of an improvement this would be. Although I still like the CV Tele, the G&L is really a different animal and is just capable of such a wider range of tones that it is simply amazing to me.
I am humbled by my lack of ability to take advantage of its full potential!! Incentive to practice...
Well, all I can say is WOW!! I simply love this guitar!
I only had it a few days and had to go on a business trip. For 8 days and nights it sat on its lonely stand in my basement. Last night when I got home I fired up the amp, grabbed the tuner and settled in on my stool. EVERY SINGLE STRING was still perfectly in tune after sitting untouched for over a week.
Again, the sound is so sweet and it is so nice to play. The action is perfect and I can get away with a much lighter touch on the strings.
Ok, I'll stop since I know I am preaching to the choir here - but WOW!
