Hello all
I have a gig bag like the one in this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3D1&_rdc=1
I have to agree with the seller that this is one of the best bags I have seen.
I see a lot of bags like this one come up on the Bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3D1&_rdc=1
I have never seen one in person. Are they different from the one that I have? Same padding? Velcro strap for neck security? I see on the G&L website they still sell the version that I have with the grey logo. Is the red logo version for Tributes? I always assumed they were identical except for the cosmetics. Anyone here actually able to compare them?
Thanks

I have both styles of gig bags. The red logo version came with my SC-2 and my Tribute SB-2. Internally both bags appear tosuave eddie wrote:Hello all

be the same. They each have the same number of zippered pockets and the neck Velcro strap. The backpack straps are
different in the material, but they both are very sturdy and padded. The grey logo one's strap material is nylon over dense foam.
The red logo one's strap material is the same as the bag with underside of the strap having a type of tight mesh (helps prevent
the strap from slipping off shoulder) and the padding is not as thick as the other bag. That padding might not be the same
dense foam as the other bag, but it does provide enough padding so they straps do not dig into your shoulders. Also, the
red logo bag has a nylon ring sewn in each strap, located about half way up.
If I had my camera here (left it at the other house) I could have taken some pictures of these straps. If I have time this weekend,
I'll take pictures of both bags from the strap side.
Hope this helps.

Re: G&L gigbags
If I understand correctly, the quality is the same on both bags--same degree of padding and both feature a velcro neck strap.
Why do they make two different models?
