I'm trying to educate myself on all the stuff I've missed over the years. I have Schaller locking tuners on my Legacy Special and I believe they were original with the guitar. I've been browsing the G&L site and find no locking tuners available at all. Is there some new rocket science technology that makes them antiquated now? Did I just miss them? Does the whammy perform just as well without them?

Nope not fired, they are optional tuners. See the G&L Guitar Options page. Look under Other Neck Options.Zippy wrote:I'm trying to educate myself on all the stuff I've missed over the years. Also, check out this post in the G&L Knowledgebase: What tuners are used on G&L guitars (USA models)?.
Hope this helps.

Well, maybe I have Sperzels. I can't remember. If I ever get my guitar back I'll look. I have a room full of guitars sitting in front of me and don't want to play any of them, except my old Tele who lives in the other room. He's is the man!
