Another New Guy!

Post by AA eron »

Good morning everyone!

My name is Eron and I'm from Ann Arbor, MI. I wondered across this place while looking for info about My old G&L. You all seem very knowlodgeable and friendly, and this seems a great site to be a part of.

Anyway, a little about me. I'm 33, been playing guitar since about 12 y/o. After playing so long I should be a lot better than I am, but hey, we're always learning, right?! I've played a handful of other instruments over the years-piano, double bass, sax, bassoon, drums, but the guitar has always been my favorite. I play mainly rock and roll with my original band, but I've dabbled in some classical, jazz, and done a little time in some pits. Lately, after having my first child and becoming a bit more of a home-body, I've been digging into recording, specifically tape/analog.

So that's that. I'll start a thread about my G&L, with pics, and I'll be sure to add it to the registry too.

Hello , my name is Chris i'm about 57 and live in S.C. . I don't play the guitar but my son does. He is 14 and has been playing the bass for two years . He decided to start playing the guitar so after a lot of research and listening I decided that G&L was the way to go . Got a used asat classic for him. Should be here next week . I have a lot of questions so I joined the site .

Welcome, Chris! G&L is a great way to go for starting out. Learning on a guitar that is physically easy to play, and sounds and looks good, will make it a better experience for your son.

Nice to meet you Eron. You sound like me in that I've been playing for 30+ years and I should be a lot better, but I play just for fun and because I like the way it sounds. Call it music therapy.

I've been trying various guitars, amps, and pedals over the last 2-3 years and after getting rid of my Chinese-made stuff and wanting to go strictly USA-made, I've bought a Les Paul and now a G&L Legacy Deluxe which has temporarily cured my GAS since I was bit by the G&L bug a month ago...
