My G&L Ladies

Post by Nnanji »

Having just won an ebay auction and picked up my first USA made G&L (An S-500 Deluxe) I feel my collection is well on it's way. My favorite is the one that's in my hands at the time. Each one of these is a work of art and between them cost about as much as a high end Fender.

I am concerned that there are a lot of obstacles between the guitar and the fire extinguisher.

Scored that at a decent price too. Congratulations!

lol There's another fire ex in the laundry room next to the music room. I might let the Epiphone and Fenders burn but the G&L's? NEVER!

I bid on it because it started so low but also because the guy lived in my town. It got up a little bit but I was kind of shocked nobody came in late and bid it higher. Shocked and happy. You're right I got a great price. Just put it in the registry. :D

Since he was local we arranged to have him just drop it off instead of ship it. It's gorgeous and it feels awesome. I started putting it through it's paces and like every G&L I've ever picked up I'm amazed at how right it feels and sounds.

I was going to order a new one and will someday but no rush now. Oddly enough I was going to get a Deluxe in Greenburst with matching headstock, but then I got that ASAT and this showed up...I won't really need to order a Deluxe, this one is wonderful. I'll have to think of some other build once I get a bonus or a little ahead of the game. Maybe a hollow body Legacy.

I do have two Fender Strats I need to sell, I need to make some room!

Thanks for the compliments all! It's a nice assortment and offers a lot of great options for tone.

All quite nice, but that clear green/pearl/maple combo is just gorgeous. Congrats!
