My new lefty Legacy
Hi there!
Here is my new legacy, a custom order made with the specs of the 30th anniversary model... I do not think they made lefty legacy when they issued this serie. This is my third G&L so far.
I love it! Don't know why I should buy Fender when I can buy G&L

I think the pearl white finish, pearl pickguard and ebony are one of the best looking guitars one could choose. The photo spread for the anniversary series is gorgeous. Does yours have the satin pearl body finish?

She's gorgeous! A very beautiful guitar.
And I definitely agree; I don't buy Fender either, since I got to know G&L.

Thanks! The color of the body and the head is pearl white indeed, but it does not have a satin finish.Salmon wrote:I think the pearl white finish, pearl pickguard and ebony are one of the best looking guitars one could choose. She's a beauty! All you need is the pearl tuning keys and you'll have the look complete.

from one lefty to another, that's a beauty. If its like my legacy, it has the best neck of any guitar I owned.
Congrats. An NO, its not backwards!

Re: My new lefty Legacy
Was the official 30th Anniversary guitar finish Pearl Satin or Pearl Gloss of that series? I was unable to find it specified in the 30th Anniversary section of the G&L site. I had read somewhere on the G&L website or maybe it was at ProGuitarShop.com when there was a prototype of the 30th Anniversary but I could not locate it in the prototype section at G&L just now and PGS removes sold guitar references. I had read something about the pearl being satin, either in the prototype or the final product. I just remember being surprised to hear it was satin. At the time I interpreted it as the final product ended up being Pearl Satin but I could have been confused. I would have been shocked receiving one and finding out it was satin. It doesn't necessarily matter to me now but I would have been expecting gloss and would not normally choose satin for a body finish.
Thanks

Thanks
From the G&L webpage:
The Frost option is a Satin clear top coat. It is not a Gloss finish, which is what the Pearl White finish would have.all 30th Anniversary models are finished in custom-blended 30th Anniversary Pearl Frost on both the body and headstock face
Note: Satin Frost finish option available on all Standard finishes except Pearl White.
Hope this helps.

Re: My new lefty Legacy
Using "30th anniversary pearl finish" as a query nothing came up that didn't require digging deeper into posts and threads. I figured it would be clear on the G&L website, it wasn't. I wasn't being lazy. It looked like it would take more time reading for the answer than I had at the the moment. So I asked the question.Craig wrote:See my announcement post on the 30th Anniversary models - use Search.:
(here the two posts at the top are from this thread and they didn't exist when I searched)

Wouldn't it be neat to have a guitar stand in that abalone white like the pickguard? It would look awesome.
