NGD!!! Silver Metal Flake Z3 w/Bigsby
Hey All,
So the stars seemed to align for me this past week…. A Long, Long time ago (AKA this spring) when the LE-2 was being finalized, i was really on the fence. I had the $ set aside but was unsure if i was gonna pull the trigger. I spent a bunch of time on the builder and kept coming back to a Z3…. specifically a metal flake w/bigsby. In the end I wound up going with the LE-2 (here's hoping there will be a whole bunch of LE-2 NGD's soon!!!)
Fast forward to the past week when i saw the PSA that Fumble posted…… for the EXACT guitar that i kept building! I put it on my watch list and the rest is history…. I ended up getting a pretty good deal on it, about 1/3 of what it would have cost from my local dealer new (Remember i am Canadian - that 13% tax is a killer )
Anyway, here are the pics

That's a beautiful Z-3 Scott! Did you take it on vacation? Those palmetto trees don't fit my mental image of Canada...

Scott, great find. I love my Bigsby Z-3. I just installed a WR bridge and it was a great mod.-- Darwin

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies so far! I will post an updated wall shot when i get her home.....
Fumble - Can't wait to see the buck owens... and thanks again for the PSA
Alf & Jos - Thanks! I see lots of fun being had in the near future Quite a few gigs coming up this holiday season!
Ken - That was part of the perfect timing! The family and I were headed down south and i had the guitar shipped to me in Florida Now I can bring it back without paying the hefty 13% tax!
Darwin - I have been reading all the posts lately about the Will Ray bridge.... Which sounds like it would be a perfect fit for me... I will at least wait til i plug it into my rig at home before i order anything else

What a great guitar!
The Z3 is a really brilliant idea and design, and yours looks super-smart. Fine score!
+ I wholeheartedly agree with Darwin that the WR is a great mod if you feel like more grunt from the back, it's really good.
Well done

Dude. I bid on that one too, but you went to high for me.
Enjoy it up there in the frozen tundra of the USA del Norte. It's a damn pretty guitar.

Hey Patrick - I'm sure glad you were not in on the mix.... I went as high as i was gonna go.... I still can't believe someone didn't come in and snipe it in the last seconds.
glvourot - i certainly intend to enjoy it for a long time to come
Nick - Thanks..... I was really trying to wait on ordering that pickup.... but i have already been scoping it out on the G&L store!
Edg - Like i said to Pat, I'm glad you tapped out too! That was my last bid..... I am over the moon that I have a chance to enjoy it
Thanks again everyone

Nice one I imagine that if you positioned all your sparkly guitars just right you could make yourself an effective solar death ray!

Thanks Xavier!
And Jamie - It is part of the plan for G&L and total word domination! I will be sure to aim said Death Ray away from Australia!!!
