G&L dealers in east TN, or NOVA Richmond-DC corridor to see?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Any that actually have some inventory to check out I can see while travelling? It's slim pickins here in Nashville, pardon any pun.

Wherever Memphis falls there is Martin Music. Eric Martin is a model G&L dealer IME.

I haven't tracked down any dealers since I moved to DC, but Atomic Music in Beltsville MD (http://www.atomicmusic.com/) has a couple of used G&Ls in stock. One is my old John Jorgenson Signature ASAT, which is super-clean. The other is a mid-80s Skyhawk. The 'Hawk has been there for several months, so I'd bet they'd be eager to see it go out the door.

The folks at Atomic are great to deal with. They are just outside the DC Beltway, a couple of miles from where I-95 heads north.

Memphis is a few hours west of me, but I'll check out that dealer. If he has things I'm interested in in-stock, I'd make the drive.

I used to live in DC so I'm familiar with Beltsville and the area. Any idea what they were asking on that Skyhawk or what condition it was in? I don't own any Leo era G&Ls atm, just Dale era and later, so if I could put my hands on one and liked it, I'd be interested. A lot of them had the 7.25" radius though which I'm not a fan of, but I've always wanted a 25" radius example. 12" of course works as well.

I think they have the Skyhawk tagged around $850, but I have no doubt that they'd negotiate down (especially if you do a cash transaction). I haven't plugged that guitar in, but just from playing it unplugged it has a nice feel. It has a clear finish over swamp ash, and is like most mid-80s G&Ls its on the heavier side. I didn't pay attention to the radius. It might have had a fine-tuner vibrato, but I can't recall for sure.

It's been tempting me every time I'm in there, but with a Skyhawk and a Nighthawk I have no need for another S-type guitar.
