Meet some of the Craftsmen at the G&L Factory ...

Shane just finished building this Legacy in Vintage White, pearl pickguard, and hard rock maple neck with Vintage Tint Gloss neck. As we post this photo, its very first riffs are ringing through the shop.

Shane is almost done building this ASAT Z-3 in Blueburst over Swamp Ash with matching headstock, wood binding, pearl pickguard, ebony fingerboard. Looking forward to plugging this in.

Shane is building a Legacy in 3-Tone Sunburst over a killer Alder body. The creme 3-ply pickguard really works on this guitar.

Manny is pressing in frets with Leo's old Famco press. The press is as old as he is.

James is in the woodshop office applying body binding the old school way.

Alex is building a Shoreline Gold ASAT Classic with top binding. Never seen one like this before and it looks cool. Whoever ordered this, you've got good taste.

Ben is building a Spanish Copper Metallic L-2500. A badass color for sure

Spence is building a Rampage Jerry Cantrell in Whiskey. As this is typed, he's banging out Man In A Box riffs.

Jaryd is spraying the black edge on a 3-Tone Sunburst body. A good burst is an art form.

Chris is positioning the position markers. Try saying that quickly. ; )

I have that RYOBI belt sander model, is there a specific use for it? I notice the belt assembly is swivelled upright.

I've had (3) G&L Basses custom ordered from the Factory including the CLF L2K, an ASAT, & an SB-2.

I'm down to owning only one G&L Bass now, a "stock" M2000, which I feel is the best G&L Bass model ever made- to date!

Every one of my G&L basses has been top-notch in build quality, playability, and tone; and I'm comparing them to ANY
production or "boutique" bass on the market.

I give major props to the people at G&L who build these instruments...USA craftsmanship at it's best,
offered by BBE at a price that is more than competitive.

I'm not sure what they use the belt sander for. The next time I make a trip down to the factory I will ask them.

There are two of those fret presses at the factory and yeah, they both have pressed a lot of frets through the years.

+1 to Larry's observation; compared to any production or boutique product, G&L guitars also stand up 100%.

Much marketing in how lots of folk perceive guitars and basses, consumer toys almost.
But much wisdom in G&L, and great value, even here in UK; the price of a team built custom Fender, but way better.

I've got a 2006 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster (Team Built CS 1969) and a 1993 G&L ASAT Special. The craftmanship of my ASAT is as good as the craftmanship of my CS Strat, but not "way better".

I do find that the design advances of G&L, and the options available, do result in an instrument which is, for this player at least, genuinely "way better".
