Hi, I haven't here in awhile. Love the new look. I just had hand surgery and am looking into getting a short scale bass to ease the tension on my fingers. Did G&L ever make a 30" bass (or guitar)? I think I remember a discussion about a lower cost version for beginners, but I'd be interested in a semi-pro/pro model.
I only am finding Hofners and fender mustangs (or old Musicmasters).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Kate

Short scale basses and guitars
Playing bass is a lot like playing chess. Easy to do but it takes a lifetime to master....

G&L never made a short scale bass.
I have seen a G&L bass pickup installed on a Mustang or Musicmaster bass, so it can be done, but all '"off the shelf" G&L basses are 34" scale instruments.
I recommend one of the Hofner knockoff basses if you want to have some short-scale bass fun for not a lot of dough. There are a number of manufacturers of these out there.
