4 Way Switch in a Bluesboy?
Has anyone installed a 4 way switch in a Bluesboy? I know they work great in Asat Classic & Special models! I was wondering if there is anything to gain by installing one in a Bluesboy.

If you mean a 4-way that gives the option of both pups in series, instead of the usual parallel, then you'll probably just find the Seth humbucker is already plenty thick enough, and putting that in series with the bridge is just messily mushy.
If there was, say, a Fralin "Unbucker" there instead of the Seth, then one of its coils in series with the bridge MFD could perhaps be fun. But the MFD is quite meaty already, and you might actually find you'll do better with the amp gain upped a bit, and just keep some volume in hand on the guitar so you can add juice from there; the result might even be better than series pups, which generally go a lot thicker than all your other selector positions (better for Classics / Strat types).

That's what I reckon too. Probably not worth it otherwise.NickHorne wrote: ....then one of its coils in series with the bridge MFD could perhaps be fun.
Are you enjoying the different sounds in the Bluesboy?

Great advise! I didn't think about the Seth Lover & MFD combo becoming unusable if they were ran in series.

I'm liking the Bluesboy a lot! I wish I would have looked into getting one a few years ago. I like it a lot better than the Asat Classic Custom that I use to have.blargfromouterspace wrote: Are you enjoying the different sounds in the Bluesboy?
