Gig bag for ASAT Deluxe semi?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Gig bag for ASAT Deluxe semi?

Post by charleyrich »

Since G&L no longer makes these bags, are there any other brands that will fit this guitar?

Is it true that bags for a Tele are not compatible?

Thanks,

Charley

Another vote for the Reunion Blues--You won't regret it.

(BTW--When did G&L stop offering their gig bags?)

See Tribute series receiving a price cut / nixing gig bag? and G&L Gig Bag - Who Makes/Made Them?.

I understood that they were no longer including the bag with the Tributes, but did not know that they discontinued to offer them completely.

Note to the OP--Once again, you're much better off with the Reunion BLues bag anyway.

The G&L gig bag had been listed in the old G&L On-Line store but with a note that it was out of stock for quite some time.
When they switched to the new On-Line Store they are not listed.

I just noticed that--Your referenced link to Dave McLaren's post doesn't make that clear.

Hmm, I thought that this post was clear.

I guess it's all clear now. ;)

Has anyone tried the Fender 099-1512-155 Urban Strat/Tele Gig Bag, Tweed gig bag?

http://www.amazon.com/Fender-099-1512-1 ... an+gig+bag

Will it fit my ASAT Deluxe semi?

The only caution I would mention is that the Asat is about 3/4 inch longer than the Fender counterpart. I would not buy one without trying it first. The Fender hard cases will not fit correctly and leave a potential for headstock damage. -- Darwin
