Sunday Night ASAT Design

Post by Theguitarstore »

OK Forum Folks, I need to design a few more guitars for the wall at the store. It is your turn to place the order for me.
I currently have a number of guitars but, none with a 7.5 radius to show off. Build me one.

Now you know what it is like to have my job.

For an ASAT Classic/Solamente: Blonde, single-ply white pick-guard, maple fingerboard, light tint satin neck.

Jamie and I are thinking along the same lines:

Make mine an ASAT Classic Solamente Alnico with Butterscotch Blonde on Swamp Ash, a 1-ply Black pickguard, and either a #2 or #2a neck with a Maple fretboard and Satin Vintage Tint neck finish. But keep the belt sander away from the body. ;) ... And I'd name it "Heart Full of Soul".

Asat Classic, Two tone sunburst white pickguard maple neck.

Asat Lake placid blue white Pickguard and rosewood board.

Simple classics, based on finishes around 50's 60's that kind of feel.

I see threads in other forums where folks are looking for guitars with 1 3/4" nuts. Hope you have some #4 profiles.

You mean (almost) like this?:

Small differences: 3-ply white/black/white on this one and (I guess) Jamie wants an MFD instead of an Alnico. Oh, and this one has a #1 neck.

SO how do those TV Jones p/u sound in that rig? They have a very unique sound - is this a versatile set up for many genres of music?

Nice guitar, btw. I have been thinking about something similar, since I have not been able to bring back the re-birth of the ASAT Super, which would be my choice.
