Can we still get "Will Ray" type (overwound) Z-coil pups?
Can't see any sign of these being offered at G&L's any more, only the regular ones. Does anyone know if they're going to be available at all any longer, and where from? I'm praying mine never goes out, but just in case, a spare would be reassuring, I love it that much, unbelievable back pup.

I don't know if G&L will be adding the WR spec bridge Z-coil back on the On-line store. You might check with youNickHorne wrote:Can't see any sign of these being offered at G&L's any more, only the regular ones. local G&L dealer and see if they can get one for you, if needed.
Hope this helps.

That's great news!
Especially since I'm ordering a second Will Ray (extra-wide neck for my old hands....) and a spare for the future will feel very reassuring. Pickups do very occasionally go out, for a variety of reasons, and I don't fancy my luck asking a winder to make me another WR back unit if that should happen ten years down the road! Nor would I substitute anything else for the WR pup, it's unique and great. I'll be ordering a nice white spare to keep safe in my bottom drawer for the new lemondrop / pearl WR!
Best,
Nick
