New member, long-time owner/lurker

Post by gaxeman »

Hi there, I've been checking these boards out every so often for a few years, seemed like a good time to actually join!

I played in some small local venue type classic rock bands in the 90's, haven't done much since except collect more guitars (!). My last "Fender collection" pic (I mean Leo, not the company - it's just how I remember them) is below. In case it's not apparent, the butterscotch blonde and 2-tone sunburst on the right are the G&L's, the natural strat is Fender and the rosewood is a warmoth partsocaster, which I am going to bring up in the projects section soon. The white ASAT is gone, and a newer Fender Strat is not shown.

Thanks for the welcomes, ellengtrgrl and Craig. Saw your semihollow ellengtrgrl, nice! think I'll want one of those before too long. Of course I recognize Craig as being master of this domain. Thanks for all the help so far, and TIA for help in the future! Thanks for the nice words regarding my collection also.

I've got over 30, believe me I get around - basically I want one of everything. The only brands that I have enough of to have a mini collection are Gibson and Leo Fender guitars. Nobody does it like Leo did(still does)! I'll put some more up-to-date pics in the porn section when I can.

Welcome G-Man. Nice collection indeed.

I'm surprised Craig didn't implore you to register your G&L instruments here. Then again, you probably have already done so and he knows this, and I'm just too da*n lazy to check!

Anyhow, glad you found this place. The folks here really are great. - ed
